Lindsay Phillips - you can call her Lulu, we do! - is the energetic inspiration and founding force behind switchflops®. Switchflops® evolved out of one of Lindsay's high school art projects. The ceramic sandals with straps adorned with various Florida fare attracted attention from all who saw them. Everyone wanted to know where to buy a pair, and was disappointed to learn that the shoes were not functional.

Lindsay began designing flip flops with different fun straps and came upon the idea of using Velcro® to allow different straps to be placed on the same sandal. She spent her college years perfecting her patented design concept of an interchangeable strap for flip flops, which is revolutionizing the fashion footwear industry. Lindsay honed her design, merchandising, and manufacturing skills working summers at Polo Ralph Lauren's leather goods division in New York City while starting her own business.
